Terms of service

Who we are

PitchCheck is operated by TOCLOCO LTD, registered in England & Wales, company number 09950859, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@pitchcheck.co.uk.

These terms apply when you use this site, send us a deck, or sign in to your account at app.pitchcheck.co.uk. By ticking the box on the upload form you accept them. Our privacy policy, refunds and cancellation policy and how reports are made form part of these terms.

What we provide

The Light report is free. It scores your deck across a set of dimensions, shows the evidence each score was read from, checks the figures on your slides and places your deck among the decks we have scored the same way. It is usually ready in about a minute.

The Full report costs £50 for one deck. It is a written investment readiness review, usually ready within the hour of payment. It includes everything in the Light report.

Both reports are produced by software, using AI models, from the deck you upload and, for the Full report, from searches of the public web. No person reviews a report before it is released to you. How reports are made explains this in more detail.

Each report covers the deck as it stood when you sent it. A new version of the deck needs a new report.

Your account

We create an account for the email address you give us, and send your sign-in details with your first report. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

You must be 18 or over to use PitchCheck.

Not advice

This is an unregulated business advisory service. A report assesses how ready your materials are to put in front of investors. It is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, it is not a financial promotion, and it is not a recommendation to invest or to raise. We do not arrange introductions to investors and we do not guarantee any funding outcome. Any decision to raise money, and on what terms, is yours.

Reports are produced by AI models and can be wrong. They can misread a slide, miss something that is there, or describe a market from public information that is out of date. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Your deck

Your deck remains yours. You confirm that you are entitled to send it to us, that it does not break anyone else’s rights, and that any personal information in it, such as team biographies, is yours to share. You give us permission to store it, read it and send it to the providers listed in our privacy policy, only to produce your report and to run the service.

Please do not upload anything unlawful, anything you have no right to share, or files designed to interfere with the service, including text written to instruct the software rather than to be read by an investor. We may decline to process a deck, or close an account, where these terms are broken.

Our material

This site, the reports, the scoring method and the name PitchCheck belong to TOCLOCO LTD. Your report is licensed to you to use for your own business, including sharing it with your co-founders, advisers and prospective investors. You may not resell reports or use the service to build a competing product.

Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Payment for the Full report is taken by Stripe before the report is produced. We never see or store your card details. If we change a price, the change does not affect a report you have already paid for.

Cancelling and refunds

If you buy as a consumer, you would normally have 14 days to cancel. Because the Full report is digital content that we start producing the moment you pay, you ask us on the upload form to start straight away and accept that your right to cancel ends once production begins. Your other legal rights are not affected: if a report is faulty, or is not as described, you are entitled to have it put right, or to a refund. Our refunds and cancellation policy sets out exactly when we refund.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and to deliver reports within the times shown, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or that a report will never be delayed. We may change or withdraw the service. If we withdraw it, we will give you notice and a chance to download your reports and decks first.

Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of funding, investment, profit, revenue, business or opportunity, or for any indirect loss, arising from your use of a report. Our total liability to you in connection with any report is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for it and £100.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We provide PitchCheck for business use, so we are not responsible to a consumer for loss of profit, business or opportunity.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email hello@pitchcheck.co.uk with the email address you used and, if you have it, the date of the report. A person will reply within two working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you sent a deck applies to that report. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
